Badly Labeled

With the upcoming birth of our daughter I thought I would do some food prep to try make things easier for us in the first couple weeks/months after her birth. Obviously I needed to get some supplies for this. Most importantly containers to put my food in, but also something to label them with. You know, so I know what's in them and how old the contents are. I can't possibly be expected to remember all of that. I found these rolls of labels. Overall people seemed happy with them and they did the job for me. Reading the reviews though, as always, was lots of fun. You have the reviews that make sense, things like: not sticking, ink smearing, etc. and then there are the reviews where the product is clearly not where the problem lies.

😂

😂

Hmmm, "it's very hard to write on something round". I agree, it is indeed very hard to write on something round. But here comes the tricky part... if you unroll one onto a flat surface, it is no longer round, and therefore much easier to write on. I was horrified by how genius this review is, and even more so when I saw that 9 people found it helpful!?

Backwards

“I thought all food container stick labels for food containers were the same. I learned differently when these arrived. As a right hander, I'm use to pulling out the string of labels left to right....and the name and date will be lifted on the left side. With this roll, it is done opposite, pull right to left. Small thing, but since the pen is in my right hand, I usually end up writing on an upside down label. Silly, I know, but when there are so many to choose from, I won't order this again.”

Backwards, forwards, upside down, inside out 🤨. There’s some complicated science going on here that I think is going over my head. I can only imagine that it means when they write on the labels the rest of the roll is in the way of their hand, and because of this they are forced to turn it upside down? Would rolling it out just a tad more fix this?

"It works", 3 stars. Great! Please tell us more. It obviously was not great or it would have been 5 stars, nor was it terrible or it would have been 1 or 2 stars. Why, why, why have you taken up valuable review space just to tell us these are freezer tags. We know that. What we don’t know is why they are worth 3 stars…

…and then of course, there is always someone who thinks that product reviews are how you contact customer support to return something.
